If you're interested in finding out more about hiring me to perform at your next party or function, you've come to right place!  Whether it be a dance, wedding reception, retirement party, anniversary celebration, holiday party or corporate function, I am prepared to meet all of your entertainment needs.  I am available for booking as a solo act or as the front-man for a live band.  Depending on the size of your venue and budget, I can provide anything from a 6-piece combo to a full 17-piece big band - the choice is yours!  Here is a brief rundown of the three different performance options I have to offer:

SOLO PERFORMANCES - Besides being the most affordable option, my solo performances are also ideal for small rooms or gatherings where space is at a premium.  I can provide quiet background music during dinner, a concert performance, music for dancing - or all three!  Using very authentic big-band background tracks coupled with a state-of-the-art JBL/Yamaha sound system, it will sound just like I'm performing with a real live big band!  Besides singing your favorite Rat Pack era tunes, I can also act as emcee  - the ideal solution for retirement parties, roasts, and wedding receptions.  If you're looking to mix it up a little, I can also "play DJ" and spin your favorite dance/party tunes from the 50's through today's hits!  I will work closely with you to design a program that will best suit your audience.

THE DOUG MAGUIRE SWING MACHINE - If you're looking for the presence of a live band but don't have the space or the budget for a full-size big band, The Doug Maguire Swing Machine is the perfect solution!  The Swing Machine is a 6-piece combo consisting of piano, bass, drums, trumpet, saxophone, and "yours truly" on trombone and vocals.  This versatile group can perform anything from the 40's swing-era favorites of Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey to the Rat-Pack hits of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin to instrumental jazz standards - the choice is yours!  Whether you're looking for soft background music during dinner, a formal "in-concert" presentation, or music for non-stop dancing, The Swing Machine can do it all!

THE BIG SWING MACHINE - If you're looking for the dynamic presence of a full-size big band, The Big Swing Machine is the answer!  Depending on the size of your venue (and budget), I can provide anything from a 10-piece "little big-band" to a swingin' 17-piece big band.  Like The Swing Machine, The Big Swing Machine is comprised of some of the finest free-lance jazz musicians in the Metroplex and can perform anything from your favorite 40's era Glenn Miller tunes to the hits of Frank and Dino to the big-band jazz sounds of Count Basie.  The Big Swing Machine can provide a Vegas-style dinner show, music for dancing, or both!
